Prismatic Learning is a learning environment that prioritises community-based learning and the natural world. By its tasteful use of colour and careful integration of natural components, this facility stands out in the neighbourhood and creates a warm and exciting environment. Collaboration spaces are incorporated throughout the architecture to facilitate student-centered learning explorations and serve as break out places for designated learning areas.
In exploring the pedagogy forms of a classroom… circles or semicircles have become a common shape to encourage student interaction for better circulation and direct attention. Domes were an emphasis in my design to go against the linear structural layout of a traditional classroom.
